Look and Sea Visitor Centre and Harbour Lights Riverside Café & Dining

Lots to do and see for any age range

The Look & Sea Centre is a great place for a school trip and we are geared towards helping with children’s educational needs. We have a group of enthusiastic and well-informed local volunteers who are able to help teachers and pupils get the most out of their visit. We can offer a range of topics to suit the aims of the visit organiser.

There are three ways you can conduct your visit:

Self-guided - you conduct the children around the exhibition yourself and choose which topics to emphasise and talk about.
Self-guided with aids - you conduct the children around the exhibition, but use one or more of the downloads on this page as a focus for your visit.
Volunteer-led - we provide volunteers to lead the group and engage them in interactive activities suitable for the age range of the participants.

We charge £2 per child for these visits, as per our normal fee, but adults accompanying the children are free.

DOWNLOADS

The following education and activity packs have been put together by the Centre and are free for you to download and use as a focus for your visit, or for other activities such as school project work.

An exhibition at our Look & Sea centre in Littlehampton

Testimonials

Dear Pam,

On Thursday 9th June, Hounslow Town Primary School attended the Look and Sea centre.

I would like to report back that the children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and found it to be such an amazing experience.
The volunteer led sessions were fantastic and linked in brilliantly with our comparing the locations subject. The children enjoyed the hands on approach to seeing the objects from Littlehampton's past.
The trip was an overall success and we would look forward to arranging one for future years.

 Thank you for your hospitality.

 Kind regards,
Hounslow Town Year 4 Teachers.

NOT JUST FOR SCHOOLS

Although the bulk of our group visits are made by school parties, the Centre welcomes approaches from other groups, both children and adults. If you run a brownie pack, care for a group of disabled or elderly people, or even belong to a club that’s looking for a different kind of day out, why not consider booking a group visit to the Look & Sea Centre?
